Makerspace Redesign
Nanyang Primary School in Singapore represents a learning community that is as vibrant on the inside as its fanciful colors on the outside. Their Makerspace was originally designed mostly for robotics and computer-driven activities. NYPS wanted to provide a more playful place that supported a STEAM approach to learning and creating. I was asked to reuse, redesign, and reorganize the space, while being respectful of the school budget.
A few new items were purchased.
Mostly everything else
was repurposed.
Larger tables replaced
small computer tables,
for better group work and
handling of project materials.
